Tom Savano creates charity Christmas hampers

Bottled cocktail producer Tom Savano has launched five limited edition Christmas food and drink hampers, with all proceeds to be given to charity.

Tom Savano has teamed up with a number of independent food and drink producers to create the hampers in aid of The Trussell Trust charity, which provides emergency food to those who need it.

There are five different hampers on offer, including a vegan/gluten-free variety, a healthy option, a chocolate hamper, an alcoholic version and a classic family hamper.

The Boozy Christmas Explorer hamper comes with Tom Savano bottled cocktails such as an Old Fashioned, Margarita and Mai Tai, as well as gin miniatures and snacks. It is priced at £140 (US$189).

James Kerslake, founder of Tom Savano, said: “Being a small producer myself, I wanted to do what I could to help other small businesses weather the storm that’s causing so many local businesses to close their doors, as well as bringing the amazing food and drink they produce into more people’s lives this Christmas.

“I feel that holidays these days are in danger of becoming marketing exercises for big brands, and so really wanted to do what I could to bring some of the love back to local communities and producers. That’s what I think Christmas should be more about.”
