The London Essence Co became the fastest-growing mixer company in Great Britain last year with a retail sales value of almost £15 million (US$18m).
Owned by Britvic, London Essence said it experienced ‘exponential growth’ across retail and hospitality in Great Britain throughout 2022.
The company accounts for 5% of the premium mixer category in Great Britain.
Its retail sales value reached £5m (US$6m), while its hospitality sales value topped £9.3m (US$11.2m), marking 64% year-on-year growth.
The firm attributed the growth to the launch of its Freshly Infused range of premium mixers on dispense, available in more than 1,000 on-trade venues nationwide.
Melanie Ginsberg, UK head of marketing at The London Essence Co, said: “It’s been great to discover that consumers are still looking to enjoy an elevated experience both at home and out of home, despite the environmental challenges.
“Looking forward, we have exciting plans for the rest of 2023. We will continue to build our elevated brand credentials to help our trade partners drive category growth, whilst ramping up our deployment of Freshly Infused, our premium mixing dispense platform, delivering elevated mixed drinks and solus serves.
“This, alongside our summer programme of events, digital media and branded activations in both retail and hospitality, will deliver a truly elevated summer season for London Essence.”
In October last year, the company launched its range of premium mixers and tonic waters in Dubai.
Furthermore, the company expanded its portfolio with the addition of a Pink Grapefruit Soda, and Crafted Lemonade in 2022.
The brand also named Kirsten Jarin as its new brand ambassador for Great Britain.
