Sky Wave Gin seeks funding

English gin distillery Sky Wave is launching a crowdfunding campaign, offering investors access to the distillery’s shares.

Sky Wave is offering early access to own shares of the distillery ahead of its public launch with Crowdcube in a couple of weeks.

The brand was launched in 2018 by Andrew Parsons and Rachel Hicks. The distillery produces small batch, premium gins and vodka at its Bicester Heritage, Oxfordshire facility.

Parsons, co-founder and master distiller of Sky Wave, shared the reason for the initiative: “The support of customers like you – our friends – has been so important to us over the last few years. The community we’ve built over the last six years has got us where we are today, and that is why we want to give back by giving you this opportunity to own part of the business and join us on our next exciting stage of growth.

“We are raising funding for a bigger marketing campaign, new sales staff to drive the growth and reach of the Sky Wave brand, and also for working capital.”

Investors can now register their interest on Crowdcube for early access, which ensures they will be notified once the crowdfunding goes live.

The distillery is accepting all investments from £10 (|US$13) upwards to get shares in The Sky Wave Distilling Company.

In addition, the distillery is offering ‘great investor rewards’, which will be available on a first-come-first-served basis.

Hicks, co-founder of Sky Wave, commented: “We wouldn’t be where we are without you. We are an independent business, and our dedicated team works really, really hard to create and deliver great drinks and experiences for you. Thank you for supporting us.”

Last week, flavoured Tequila brand Neurita launched its crowdfunding campaign on Crowdcube.

Earlier this month, English producer Salcombe Distilling Co launched a crowdfunding campaign to raise £250,000 (US$327,045).
