The judges have been confirmed for the 2020 Spirits Business Awards, which will take place on Thursday, 10 September.
Launched in 2019, The Spirits Business Awards aims to recognise excellence among retailers, distributors, marketers, brands and distillers across the spirits industry.
This year’s panel of expert judges will comprise: David T Smith, spirits writer and co-founder of the Craft Distilling Expo; Bryan Rodriguez, junior buyer – wine and spirits at Harvey Nichols; Sophie Terzopoulou, head of marketing at Three Cents Artisanal Beverages; and Melita Kiely, editor of The Spirits Business.
Premium mixer brand Three Cents is the official sponsor of The SB Awards.
This year’s Innovation in Packaging Award is sponsored by brand enhancement company The Spearhead Group. Heather Fritzsche, co-founder and CEO of The Spearhead Group, will be joining the judges to assess this highly competitive round.
Other awards that will be assessed include Blender of the Year, Best New Product, Best Distillery Facilities and PR Company of the Year.
Kiely said: “In the midst of the pandemic, we think it’s even more important to support and celebrate our peers across the industry who continue to innovate and produce outstanding work.
“I look forward to seeing what this year’s awards will highlight during the judging on Thursday.”
