Florida-based ready-to-drink (RTD) brand Oo-Lah has launched four flavours, including a Prickly Pear Margarita, in Florida and Virginia.
Produced and canned in Hollywood, Florida, the RTD brand debuts with four flavours: Spicy Margarita, Big-O, Island Girl, and Prickly Pear Margarita.
Each Oo-Lah cocktail is ‘meticulously crafted’ to ensure consistency, featuring light fizz, clean spirits, and a blend of fruits and signature flavours.
Described as ‘a vacation in a can’, the RTDs invite drinkers to embrace tropical flavours and ‘kickback’ beach culture.
Trevor Spiers, co-founder of Oo-Lah, said: “Our mission at Oo-Lah is to deliver the best RTD cocktail you will ever taste. With our commitment to quality ingredients and innovative flavours, we are proud to offer a product that embodies relaxation and adventure.”
Spiers, a US Marine Corps veteran, was stationed in Kane’ohe Bay, Oahu, in Hawaii, where he remained for a time after finishing his army service. He became an avid surfer, diver, and spear fisherman, adopting a ‘kickback lifestyle’ that has inspired the drinks.
Chris Klein, co-founder of Oo-Lah, commented: “We’re experts at kicking back and hanging out, we wanted to replicate the nostalgia of a simple beach day. They say if you put your ear up to a can of Oo-Lah, you can hear steel drums, a warm breeze and breaking waves.
“We’re confident when tasted side-by-side, an Oo-Lah and the bartender’s mixed drink are almost indistinguishable.”
The brand’s Island Girl expression blends coconut, pineapple, orange, and rum, while The Big O was inspired by the Orange Crush cocktail and offers flavours of freshly squeezed Florida oranges, lemon-lime spritzes with a hint of triple sec, and premium vodka.
Oo-Lah’s Spicy Margarita is a twist on the classic cocktail. It is made with ‘zesty’ limes, jalapeno, and Tequila. Another variation of the serve, the Prickly Pear Margarita, combines kiwi, pear, apple, and Tequila.
Offered at 5% ABV in 355ml single-serve cans, Oo-Lah Cocktails are available at select retailers and distributed with Community Craft Wine and Spirits in Florida and Pretty Ugly Distribution in Virginia.
Other RTDs making their debuts this month include Global Brand’s Gather, Tayēr + Elementary’s Everleaf Highball, and a collaboration between Funkin and Irn-Bru.
Last year, the RTD category saw volumes rise by 2%, led by Mexico and Germany.
