Neurita Tequila names new sales director

Flavoured Tequila brand Neurita has appointed Thomas Butterwick as its new sales director to lead global expansion.

The hire aims to drive the female-focused brand’s continued expansion across the UK, Europe, and Australia as it ramps up its growth plans for 2025.

Butterwick is said to bring a wealth of experience into his new role with a business development and sales leadership track record, which includes senior positions as head of B2B sales at Craft Gin Club and sales and vertical lead at CloudKitchens. He has also previously worked with Scotch whisky bottler Murray McDavid.

Butterwick said: “I am excited to join Neurita Tequila, one of the most exciting startups in the UK. With its highly differentiated unique selling proposition and a strong presence in a rapidly growing sector, Neurita is poised for significant success.

“The Tequila market is undergoing a transformation, and I look forward to collaborating with the team to elevate the brand and take it to the next level.”

According to Neurita, Butterwick’s expertise in driving significant sales growth and his extensive experience within the beverage industry makes him the perfect fit to lead the brand’s ambitious plans for the future.

The new appointment to the brand’s leadership team is said to represent a key step in its mission to reshape the global Tequila category.

Lucy Smith, founder of Neurita Tequila, commented: “We are thrilled to welcome Tom to the team at such an exciting time for Neurita. His extensive experience in both the UK and international markets is invaluable as we look to expand further.

“His leadership and expertise make him a fantastic addition to our team as we prepare for a monumental 2025.”

In November 2024, the brand appointed former Don Papa and William Grant & Sons executive Chris Rigby as its strategy advisor.

Earlier this year, Neurita reported it had experienced 169% growth in 2024.
