Vinexpo New York exhibitors reap the rewards

Trade show Vinexpo New York has reported that more than 83% of buyers found new products and companies at this year’s event as it encourages exhibitors to sign up for the 2021 fair.

Exhibitors from the 2020 event had the chance to meet with buyers from more than 40 US states, Canada and Mexico over the course of two days. The event was held on 2-3 March.

Vinexpo New York is scheduled to take place from 3-4 February 2021 when it will return to the Jacob K Javits Center in New York, jointly organised with Diversified Communications.

The show has gathered feedback from this year’s exhibitors, as it endeavours to encourage more companies to take part in the networking opportunity – particularly in light of the pandemic.

Laure Andre, project manager, business France, wines, spirits, beers and ciders, and a 2020 exhibitor, said: “Vinexpo New York is the only wine and spirits trade show in North America. This fair is then a key event and a great opportunity for the French wines and spirits companies to meet the US and Canadian professionals.

“The French Pavilion, representing 20% of the show’s exhibitors in 2020, reflects the ambition and the determination of French wines and spirits makers from all over France to showcase and promote their wines in this area.”

Artur Ghazaryan, general director, LLC ‘Prevelon Rus’, Kremlin Vodka, was also impressed by this year’s event.

Ghazaryan said: “Our company’s participation in Vinexpo New York gives us the unique opportunity to see distributors and retailers from all over the USA in one place. Each visitor is of value for us since they are all professionals of the alcohol market.

“The event allows us to present our brand directly to decision makers. During the years of participation in Vinexpo New York, we have established contacts and found distributors in five states in [the] USA, which is a great result for us.

“We are thankful to the Vinexpo New York team for their hospitality and well organised platform and for communication with market professionals – we will be participating in 2021.”

Earlier this year, Vinexpo New York highlighted five reasons spirits brands should exhibit at next year’s event.
