Tobago Gold gains distributor in France

Chocolate rum cream liqueur Tobago Gold has secured a new distribution partner in France and will make its debut at Vinexpo Paris this month.

The company has teamed up with Bruant Distribution, which will be exhibiting at trade show Vinexpo Paris from 13 to 15 February 2023.

Tobago Gold will be available to sample from Bruant Distribution’s stand in the Be Spirits Hall (H2.2, E078) and from the Infinite Bar in the same room.

Benoit Bruant, CEO of Bruant Distribution, said: “Contributing to the development of Tobago Gold in France is a positive challenge; the consumption moments are plenty, and the concept is fun.”

Bruant Distribution has been in operation since 1877.

“France is an important market for Tobago Gold, especially bearing in mind the progressive premiumisation of the rum category, and increased interest for flavoured rums,” said Helena Zakmane, the brand’s global commercial director.

“Together with Bruant Distribution, we are focusing on gaining wide retail presence to ensure quick availability of our chocolate rum cream to the French consumers.”

Launched in summer 2021, the chocolate rum cream liqueur is made with Caribbean spices. It sits at 17% ABV.

In November last year, the brand expanded its presence in Europe with new distribution deals in four countries.

It is available to consumers in Trinidad and Tobago, the UK, Germany, Canada, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Denmark, Iceland, Baltics, Portugal, Switzerland, Armenia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Last year, the brand secured ‘substantial’ financial backing from two businessmen.
