Spirit of One debuts its first vodka

UK-based The Spirit of One has expanded beyond gin with the launch of its inaugural vodka, called One Vodka.

The vodka is presented in the brand’s new butterfly bottle, which was launched in June this year.

The container is an art deco-inspired carafe bottle, the ‘first’ spirits bottle designed to be used as a carafe.

The Spirit of One’s co-founder, Ian Spooner, said: “The founding principle behind The Spirit of One is to create remarkable spirits that give back. We were created to support a fundamental humanitarian cause: the global water crisis.

“We are called ‘One’ because we know we can’t change the world overnight, but we believe we can change lives one person at a time, one day at a time.”

The ‘botanical’ vodka presents aromas of vanilla, sage and lemon on the nose, while the creamy palate delivers citrus and herbal flavours.

Spooner added: “In the last five years we have launched two beautiful award-winning gins, a limited edition Port-rested gin and a ready to drink G&T range. It has always been our ambition to expand into spirits beyond gin and this launch marks the start of a new chapter for us.”

The liquid is recommended served chilled, on the rocks, or as a base for cocktails.

One Vodka secured a Gold medal in The Spirits Business‘s Autumn Blind Tasting earlier this year.

The vodka clocks in at 40% ABV, and retails for RRP £34 (US$37.79) per 700ml.
