Smirnoff Vodka Brings Back Spicy Tamarind

In celebration of Día De Muertos, Smirnoff Vodka has announced the return of its Spicy Tamarind, a style made popular in Mexico.

Fitted in a new colorful, Día De Los Muertos-inspired glow-in-the-dark design, Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind combines sweet tamarind mixed with spicy Mexican Chillies, notes of lime and a hint of salt. It can be enjoyed as a shot, or an ingredient to bring some sweet and spicy to any simple cocktail.

The new glow-in-the-dark packaging is a nod to the vibrancy of Mexican culture, the company says, combining traditional and modern themes. The bottle also packs a functional surprise, displaying “Solo Y Frio” under blacklight when chilled, so consumers know when the product is ready to drink.

The suggested retail price for Smirnoff Vodka Spicy Tamarind is $12.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
