Moth expands RTD cocktail portfolio

Premium canned cocktail brand Moth has added a French 75, Aperitivo Spritz and Piña Colada to its RTD (ready-to-drink) portfolio.

The three new cocktails have been released to compliment the brand’s existing portfolio, which comprises a Margarita, Negroni, Espresso Martini, Old Fashioned and Mojito.

Moth co-founder Rob Wallis commented: “We are excited to reveal our new cocktails which Waitrose and Tesco shoppers can purchase during the festive season to enjoy at home with friends.

“We’re so proud to be working with our award-winning spirit partners to bring consumers three new classic cocktails to enjoy anytime, anywhere.”

The Moth French 75 is available in 148 Waitrose stores and is made with Tarquin’s Cornish Gin and is presented at 10% ABV.

The 10%-ABV Moth Aperitivo Spritz is also made with Tarquin’s Cornish Gin and is described by the brand as ‘sparkly, bright and bold’. It is available from 252 Waitrose stores.

Duppy Share Rum forms the base of the Moth Piña Colada, which is available from 277 Waitrose stores and 170 Tesco stores. It also rests at 10% ABV.

All three expressions are priced at RRP £3.99 (US$4.62) and available in 200ml cans.

Waitrose spirits buyer John Vine said: “Following the huge success of Moth in Waitrose, we’re incredibly excited to be releasing three new Moth cocktails this winter in time for Christmas.

“The growth of high quality ready-to-drink cocktails has been huge and I am sure that Moth’s newly released cocktails, the French 75, Piña Colada and Aperitivo Spritz will add further to the success of the brand and continue to delight Waitrose consumers.”

The full Moth range is available now from in-store and online from Waitrose and via mothdrinks.com.

The Moth Margarita, Mojito and Espresso Martini are available at both Sainsbury’s and Tesco stores across the UK, while the Moth Negroni is only available at Tesco.

The Moth Margarita can be found on British Airways European short-haul flights and a select range is also available at key WH Smith travel sites.
