Hotel Starlino launches elderflower aperitivo

Biggar and Leith-owned Hotel Starlino has released an elderflower aperitivo to mark the festive season.

Starlino Elderflower Aperitivo is infused with elderflower, citrus peel, herbs and spices.

The new drink joins Italy-based Hotel Starlino’s range of aperitivos, including Starlino Rosé and Starlino Orange. Each expression in the range is bottled at 17% ABV.

Boasting a ‘slightly floral’ taste with notes of pear and lychee balanced with the sweetness of elderflower, elderberries and citrus, the liquid is recommended served as a Spritz or as a mixer in a cocktail.

Elwyn Gladstone, founder of Biggar and Leith, said: “We are really excited to launch the latest expression in the Hotel Starlino range.

“We have been really pleased with the reception of Starlino Orange, Rosé and Rosso Vermouth, and aperitivos, and we are looking forward to celebrating the festive season with our new Elderflower Aperitivo.”

The bottle is frosted and heavily embossed, and displays a label with features representing Hotel Starlino, such as an elevator door indicator, room numbers and lobby bells.

The 750ml bottle is available to purchase for RRP £23 (US$31.36) from Amazon and Master of Malt.

Earlier this year, US-based spirits producer Biggar and Leith has created a new Scotch whisky brand inspired by a former UK prime minister.
