High West Announces A Midwinter Night’s Dram 2022

Whiskey searchers take note: High West Distillery has announced the launch date for their 2022 bottle of A Midwinter Night’s Dram.

This annual, popular release hits shelves this year on Oct. 2.

Dubbed “Act 10,” the 2022 A Midwinter Night’s Dram is the tenth iteration in this series. It will be available at the brand’s Utah distillery shop, as well as at retailers nationwide in limited quantities.

For this whiskey, High West finishes its Rendezvous Rye expression in ruby and tawny port barrels.

The mash bill is a blend of 95% rye, 5% barley malt from MGP, and 80% rye, 20% malted rye from High West distillate.

On the nose is marionberries, plums, blood orange peel, cinnamon, toasted Oloroso Sherry cask and leather-bound books, the company says. The palate brings blackcurrant jam, tart cherry crumble on a cedar plank, rose and pistachio pavlova, dark rye bread, candied ginger, blue cheese and smoked applewood.

A Midwinter Night’s Dram is 49.3% ABV. The suggested retail price is $150 per 750-ml. bottle, except in Utah, where it’s $125.

This follows the release of the distillery’s new Campfire Bottle. The post High West Announces A Midwinter Night’s Dram 2022 first appeared on Beverage Dynamics.
