Heaven Hill Unveils Heritage Collection 17-Year-Old Bourbon

Heaven Hill Distillery has about 1.9 million barrels resting across six rickhouse sites. From these casks come a new special series, the Heaven Hill Heritage Collection, showcasing older-age, cask-strength whiskey.

The series begins this month with Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 17-Year-Old Barrel Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon. It’s 118.2 proof.

Following, the Heritage Collection will become an ongoing, annual release, highly limited. Each release will feature one of the distillery’s six mash bills, varying by the year.

This first edition uses the distillery’s traditional bourbon mash bill: 78% corn, 10% rye and 12% malted barley.

The blend makeup of this release is 28% 20-year-old barrels, 44% 19-year-old barrels and 28% 17-year-old barrels. All these casks came from the Deatsville, Glencoe, Schenley and Heaven Hill main campus warehouse locations.

Moving forward, the Heritage Collection will arrive annually in the springtime, while the Parker’s line will continue it’s fall-release schedule.

Heaven Hill Heritage Collection 17-Year-Old Barrel Proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon launches on a limited basis nationally, for the suggested retail price of $274.99 per 750-ml. bottle. Each bottle comes in a box in signature Heaven Hill blue, with the double-H insignia stamped in gold.
