Heaven Hill has unveiled the latest edition of its Old Fitzgerald Bottled in Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon series: Spring 2022.
Comprised of barrels produced in the fall of 2004, and bottled in the spring of this year, this is the ninth expression in the line.
Old Fitzgerald Spring 2022 comes in a decanter bottle, with a green label, consistent across all spring releases. (The fall releases have black labels.) As always, this edition’s tax strip discloses when the liquid was produced and bottled.
This bourbon meets the requirements of a bottled-in-bond: the product of a single distillery from a single distilling season, aged a minimum of four years, and bottled at 100 proof or 50% ABV.
Old Fitzgerald Spring 2022 is the first 17-year-old whiskey in the series. It contains bourbon pulled from three floors of rickhouse V at Heaven Hill’s main campus.
The suggested retail price is $185 per 750-ml. bottle.
