Del Maguey Launches Vida Puebla Mezcal

Del Maguey has launched its newest expression, Del Maguey Vida Puebla Mezcal.

This new expression comes from a palenque in Axocopan, Puebla, Mexico.

Flavors include roasted agave softened by hints of citrus, white peach and candied pine, the company says. The Axocopan terroir provides a minerality from the volcanic rock in the Puebla soil.

Del Maguey Vida Puebla Mezcal aims to meet the growing demand in the mezcal category — with a competitive price point — while creating a sustainable future for the category and the region. “We saw the need and wanted to show it’s possible to grow in the right way: by creating a liquid that’s sustainably produced, with respect to the land, plant and environment, honoring traditional process and culture and the people who make the Mezcal,” says Del Maguey Cofounder Steve Olson. “We felt it was our responsibility, because we opened the door to this culture by introducing the category to the world.”

Del Maguey Vida Puebla Mezca comes bottled at 40% ABV. It rolls out in select states in March 2023, including NY, CA, FL, TX, IL and OH. This new expression will be available nationwide, on shelves and at on-premise accounts, starting July 2023.The suggested retail price is $37.99 per 750-ml. bottle. The post Del Maguey Launches Vida Puebla Mezcal first appeared on Beverage Dynamics.
