George Dickel, Leopold Bros Release Second Collaboration Rye Blend

Following the well-received launch of their previous blended rye collaboration, George Dickel and Leopold Bros distilleries have unveiled a second release.

The liquid inside is the same recipe as last year’s limited, inagural run.

George Dickel x Leopold Bros Blend combines the Leopold Bros Three Chamber Rye — made in Colorado — with George Dickel’s never-before-released traditional column still rye — made in Tennessee.

The result is one that recreates a historic style reminiscent of an era when heavy-bodied rye whiskies were served at bars and saloons across America, the companies say.

On the nose is lavender, elderflower and rose with hints of maple syrup, marshmallow and cocoa, the company reports. The palate brings rosewater, blackberries, caramel, lavender, fig and citrus, before a finish of Earl Gray tea, honey and cocoa.

Bottled at 100 proof, the 2022 release of George Dickel x Leopold Bros Blend is available for a suggested retail price of $109.99 per 750-ml. bottle. This follows the recent release of George Dickel Bottled in Bond Fall 2008, Aged 13 Years. The post George Dickel, Leopold Bros Release Second Collaboration Rye Blend first appeared on Beverage Dynamics.
