Fynoderee Distillery offers door-to-door delivery

Isle of Man-based distillery Fynoderee has partnered with Danish distributor Bemakers to offer direct-to-consumer deliveries in six European countries.

Thanks to a new partnership with Bemakers, a number of Fynoderee spirits are now available for members of the public to order online from the distillery’s website for postal delivery to home addresses in France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, the Netherlands and Austria.

The orders can be made online from anywhere in the world for delivery to these six countries, with further countries expected to be announced
soon.

This is the first time Fynoderee has been able to offer its customers a reliable postal service to mainland Europe, as British postal restrictions prevent the postage of high-strength spirits outside of the British Isles due to differing customs and alcohol duties.

Tiffany Kerruish, co-founder of Fynoderee Distillery, said: “It has always been a source of great frustration to us when our overseas fans have been unable to order from our website. Similarly, when locals have wished to send a bottle to friends and family abroad, they have been unable to do so until now.

“Online ordering has been an important sales channel for us since we launched our distillery. We have posted out over 13,000 orders via Isle of Man Post and courier to addresses in the Isle of Man and UK, many of which have been for multiple bottles. Selling directly to our customers achieves the best margin for us as the producer, allows us to own the customer journey, and builds a loyal following of repeat customers.”

Kerruish added: “This next stage is very exciting and for any Fyn fan who has friends and family in these countries and wishes to send some Manx magic to their door – now is the perfect time. We know we also have many fans in Ireland, and we hope to add this location to our export locations as soon as possible.”

The Fynoderee Distillery was established in 2017 by locals Paul and Tiffany Kerruish in Ramsey, Isle of Man. The distillery offers a range of Manx gins, rum, vodka and single malt whisky made with locally foraged and farmed Manx ingredients.

Tim Cowsill, chief executive of business, Isle of Man, said: “Today is a brilliant day for Fynoderee and the Isle of Man. We are pleased that the Fynoderee team can now share their award-winning Manx products with a wider audience.

“We wish Fynoderee all the best in this endeavour as they join other food and drink producers from the Isle of Man with a well-established base of loyal consumers in Europe and further afield.”

Earlier this month, Bemakers partnered with Finnish distillery Teerenpeli to expand its whisky distribution across Europe.

Last month, Bemakers appointed Søren Krogh as director of global brand advisory to elevate trade and advisory services.
