Cascade Moon Edition No. 2 Celebrates 150 Years of George Dickel

George A. Dickel & Co. and Cascade Hollow Distilling Co. have unveiled the latest release in their Cascade Moon Whisky series: Cascade Moon Edition No. 2.

Following Cascade Moon Edition No. 1 from this fall, this second release is meant to honor the heritage of the George A. Dickel & Co. brand, which is celebrating its 150th anniversary.

Tying back to George Dickel’s history, the liquid for this release came from a small-batch blend curated around the first barrel of Tennessee whisky filtered after the distillery returned from shutdown in 2003, the company says. This blend used fewer than 20 barrels — whiskies aged at least 16 years.

The bottle for Cascade Moon Edition No. 2 is sand-blasted ceramic. The labels are hand-printed using a 130-year-old press.

Cascade Moon Edition No. 2, 45% ABV, will be available at retail this December in Tennessee, California and Texas. The suggested retail price is $249.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
