Captain Morgan has announced a new flavor innovation for this fall season.
Sliced Apple Spiced Rum takes Captain Morgan’s signature Original Spiced Rum and fuses it with the “juicy and crisp taste” of freshly sliced apples, the company says, with a subtle hint of ginger.
In support of this new product, the company has partnered with five artists in cities across the U.S. to design murals in the communities they call home — New York City, Los Angeles, Miami, Austin and Atlanta — that pay tribute to some of the country’s most iconic neighborhoods.
Captain Morgan has also assembled a crew of content creators across four different categories — comedy, visual effects (VFX), music and dance — competing to see who can make the best ad for Captain Morgan Sliced Apple. The creators include LeJuan James and Benito Skinner in the comedy category, Pablo Rochat and Kevin Lustgarten showcasing their VFX skills, and Jade Novah and Devvon Terrell hopping in the booth to record their own Sliced Apple-inspired songs.
Captain Morgan Sliced Apple Spiced Rum is hitting shelves now, nationwide, for a suggested retail price of $15.99 per 750-ml. bottle. This new spiced rum is 35% ABV.
