Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2014

Designed as fully traceable from farm to glass, Islay Barley 2014 matured in a combination of first fill bourbon casks, sherry butts and second fill wine casks.

Islay Barley 2014 was distilled from barley grown on eight farms, all within an 11-mile radius of the Islay distillery.

The result is a cereal-forward single malt with notes of apricot and peach, malty digestive biscuit, and a hint of fresh grass, the distillery reports. A subtle maritime note also lingers.

Bruichladdich Islay Barley 2014 will be available for purchase online at bruichladdich.com and at select retailers on Feb 1 starting at $82.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
