Bottled cocktail company Black Lines has added a limited edition White Negroni to its range to celebrate Negroni Week.
The 12th Negroni Week, organised by Campari Group and Imbibe magazine, will take place from 16 to 22 September.
Black Lines claims the white version of the drink used to be a ‘secret off-menu request among bartenders’, which it now wants to put in the spotlight.
The expression is made with East London Gin, Suze liqueur and Dolin Blanc, which Black Lines says creates a ‘smoother, brighter sip’ that is ‘gentian- and juniper-forward, with gentle warmth and bite, finished with notes of melon and grapefruit’.
As with every release from the brand, everything from the liquid to the bottle and label is made at its home in London’s Tottenham.
Bottled at 18.6% ABV, a 500ml bottle of the White Negroni retails for RRP £27 (US$35) and is available from the brand’s website and selected retailers from today (12 September).
To ‘go big’ for the launch, 20 three-litre jeroboams are also available, retailing at RRP £180 (US$235).
Earlier this year the brand added a Hugo Spritz to its permanent range.
Black Lines was founded by Khimasia and Casey Sorenson in 2017. Its range of cocktails can be found in stores such as Selfridges and Whole Foods, as well as venues such as The Standard hotel in London.
The brand isn’t the only one to release a bottled Negroni this week – Edinburgh-based Lind & Lime Gin partnered with Hey Palu bar to create a White Strawberry version.
