Beach Bum Rum expands European presence

Mauritian rum brand Beach Bum has partnered with distributor Taster Wine Vertriebs to expand its presence into the northern German-Denmark border region.

The new distribution deal with Taster Wine Vertriebs, a subsidiary of Taster Wine in Denmark, is part of the brand’s plan to enter the Danish market.

David Adamson, CEO and founder of Beach Bum Beverages, said: “I’m really pleased to be launching with Taster Wine in the Germany-Denmark border region. It’s a key area of trade as many Danes utilise the lower prices across the border, and one where I can see us making a great impact.

“Earlier this month, we showcased our range at the annual Taster Wine trade fair and had some great feedback from major retailers where we should be listed shortly, all being well.

“Currently, we’re focussing purely on growing distribution in traditional retail and online through Taster Wine’s network, with the plan to eventually enter the Danish market. They have a fantastic team in place, and I’m excited about the potential for Beach Bum in 2025.”

The brand plans to expand into four to five international markets this year, in countries where there is a demand for craft rums.

Last year, Beach Bum Rum launched in Latvia with a listing with Kabinets retail chain.

Earlier this month, the brand teamed up with The Merchant Hotel, marking its debut in Northern Ireland.
