Diageo-owned cream liqueur brand Baileys has added two dairy-free oat milk-based products to its permanent range.
Baileys has introduced a new line of non-dairy oat-based liqueurs with two debut flavours, Coffee Toffee and Cookies & Creamy. The year-round offerings blend Irish whiskey with oat milk, as the Diageo-owned brand embraces the popular dairy alternative.
“This innovation marks an exciting new chapter for us. Whether you go dairy-free or just enjoy how it tastes, oat milk elevates those treating moments we all love,” Milly Shome, director of Baileys and liqueurs, Diageo North America, said. “We saw it as the perfect match for the lively, social spirit of Baileys, creating a whole new way to enjoy your coffee.”
Both flavours are bottled at 17% ABV and available across the US at US$25 for a 750ml bottle, US$12 for 100ml three-packs, and US$3 for a 50ml. The brand offers two cocktail recipes alongside the products, a brown sugar shaken oat milk latte using Coffee Toffee, and an oat milk Dalonga coffee made with the Cookies & Creamy liqueur.
“Coffee can be so much more than just a part of your basic morning routine,” Shome added. “With Baileys Non-Dairy Liqueur Made with Oat Milk, we wanted to bring the flavour and something extra special to turn even the simplest of moments into memorable experiences.”
Baileys is the world’s largest liqueur brand, moving 8.2 million cases in 2023.
Sales of Baileys fell by 3% in the first half of Diageo’s 2024/25 fiscal year (July to December 2024).
In 2016, the brand debuted Almande, a dairy-free product made with almond milk, almond essence cane sugar, purified water and real vanilla.
The dairy-free space has evolved since then, with innovations slowly making their way to alcohol. In 2024, Oatrageous Bourbon Cream, launched as the world’s first dairy-free Bourbon Cream, landed a coveted spot on our annual top 50 most innovative spirits list.
